How a Google review QR code works

The code contains your business’s review link. Scanning it opens Google with your business and the “Rate and review” form already open, so a customer goes from “sure, I’ll leave one” to five stars in a few seconds, instead of searching for you later and forgetting.

The link comes from Google Business Profile, so you need to manage the business there. If you only know your Place ID (from Google’s Place ID Finder), paste it and we build the official search.google.com review link.

Ask for reviews the right way

Google’s rules allow you to ask every customer for a review, but not to offer discounts or gifts in exchange, and not to ask only happy customers. Put the code where all customers see it and simply ask: “Enjoyed your visit? Tell others on Google.”

Use cases

Where to put your review QR code

  • Receipts and invoices

Print it at the bottom: the moment after paying is when people are happiest.

  • Tables and counters

A small stand next to the bill or till catches people before they leave.

  • Hotels and rentals

On the room card or welcome book, for guests to rate their stay.

  • Salons and clinics

At reception or the mirror, while clients admire the result.

  • Service and repairs

On the job card or a sticker on the finished work.

  • Home services

On the business card you leave after the job.

Best practices

Tips for getting more Google reviews

  • Ask at the right moment

Right after a great experience, when you hand over the bill, receipt or finished job.

  • Say what to do

“Scan to review us on Google, it takes 30 seconds” works better than a code alone.

  • Reply to every review

Answering reviews, good and bad, shows future customers that you care.

  • Don’t pay for reviews

No discounts or freebies in exchange: it breaks Google’s policies and can get reviews removed.

Static or dynamic?

Find out which spot gets you reviews

A static review code works forever. A dynamic one shows how many people scanned it at each table, counter or branch, and lets you point it somewhere else (a new location, a feedback form) without reprinting.

  • Free static review code
  • Scan counts per location and day
  • Redirect it anytime
